Best CoD series in a LONG time pic.twitter.com/JzXqVs0Skv
That was probably some of the best COD I’ve ever watched in my life. An absolute nail-biter of a day. The Thieves and Faze were neck and neck almost the entire time, with LA coming up short at the very end in round 11 of a tied 5-5 game of Search and Destroy.
There were moments throughout both of the series where I truly thought that one team or the either was going to completely run away with it. Seeing Faze reverse sweep the Thieves in the first series definitely casted some doubts over LA for me. Though they seemed to squash those fears in game 1 (Hardpoint) of the Grand Finals, where LA came back from a substantial deficit to eventually win 250-237, giving the Thieves a 1-0 advantage in the series.

Faze ended up taking the next 2 games in the final series, putting the score at 2-1. Although, that momentum lasted all of about 5 seconds before the Thieves shut it down in game 4.

After a few more games of back and forth, Faze emerged victorious and will take home $150k + 100 CDL points, while the Thieves gain $90k + 75 CDL points.
The fact that we won’t have any more COD to watch for the next 2 weeks is the real heartbreaking thing for me though. If there is anything that today proved, it’s that this season is looking to be an absolute banger.
And please, for the love of god, inject that Scrap and Drazah drama directly into my veins. It only makes days like today even better.
